What is BronyMate?
BronyMate is
a dating site and social network for the Brony community who are fans of the
cartoon show My Little Pony (MLP).
How old do I have to be to use BronyMate?
You MUST be
18 or older. If you ever notice an underage user in their profile, please
report it to our attention as soon as possible. Please provide us with the user
name as well. We will immediately ban and delete the user.
How do I use BronyMate?
Simply
create your profile and start searching for matches using the search function.
When you find someone you're interested in message them, request a hookup, or
send a wink! Don't be shy. Just like in the real world, it often take multiple
tries to find a match!
How do I get other members to message me?
Add a profile photo and perhaps an album. Fill out as much information
as you can onto your profile. The more information that you have visible on your
profile, the better chance that someone will message you.
Photos
How do I upload my profile photo?
To upload a profile photo do the following:
1) Go to profile (at the top left hand side of the page)
2) Then hit "change photo"
How do I create an album?
1) Go to the main tab titled Media
2) Select Pictures
3) Select Create Album
4) Write a brief description regarding your album and select who can view the album (friends or everyone)
5) Then upload photo
What are the photo restrictions?
1) Image size: 5000kb
2) 100 width & 100 height
How come my photos are not showing up on my profile right after
uploading it?
All uploaded
photos are subject to a review process to assure that they are complying with
our terms of service. Your photos
will typically post within 12 hours, but no more than 24
hours.
How come one of my photos have suddenly disappeared?
You
have violated the terms of service. If you do not agree with our
decision, please email us your photos and we will review it.
Do you allow explicit content?
No, we do
not allow adult content. If you ever come across a member that is posting
explicit content, please report it to us as soon as possible.
Can I send messages to other members for free?
Yes, you
can. There are no limits to the number of messages you can send.
Why can't I read my messages?
You must
subscribe to read messages.
Why should I subscribe to BronyMate?
As a free member on BronyMate you are able to create a profile, browse other BronyMate profiles, send winks and messages to other members. However, a Subscription gives you much greater access to BronyMate. Some benefits of being a Subscriber on BronyMate include the following:
- Get full access to send and receive messages and winks
- Chat with your friends
- Find out who viewed your profile
Many BronyMate members are benefiting from their Subscriptions right now. BronyMate offers a variety of Subscription and payment options. If you are currently a free member, you can see Subscription options by clicking on ‘Upgrade Now’ at the top right of any BronyMate.com page.
Why do you charge for your service?
We
charge
for a number of reasons: developer costs, design costs, server costs,
marketing, advertising, keeping our site ad free, and by offering great customer
support. In addition, paying for
dating services encourages only those looking for serious relationships
to
join.
Cancellation
How do I cancel my free account?
Please follow these instructions.
1) Go to the main tab titled "Settings"
2) Click on "Privacy"
3) Go to "Who can view my profile"
4) Select in the drop down menu "Cancel
account"
5) Then this message will appear " Are you sure you want to cancel your
account? This action cannot be undone!"
6) Hit "Submit"
If you want to cancel your paid account, do not follow these instructions. Please see the "How do I cancel my paid account?" section.
If I cancel my account, can I always re-open it?
Absolutely,
not a problem! Contact us with and we will be glad to re-open your account. We
will be happy to have you back. If you specifically ask us to delete your profile, unfortunately this action cannot be undone if you chose to come back in the future.
How do I unsubscribe from your mailing list?
1) Login
2) Go to settings
3) Click on notifications
4) Uncheck applicable options

How do I cancel my paid account?
If you used PayPal to subscribe you can cancel your subscription directly in your paypal account. Here are instructions of how you can do it yourself:
1) Log in to your PayPal account.
2) Click Profile (the gear icon) on the top right corner of the page.
3) Click Pre-approved payments under
4) Select the merchant whose agreement you want to cancel, and click Cancel.
5) Follow the instructions to cancel the agreement.
If you used Stripe, please contact us directly for cancellation using the contact us form at the footer of the page and we will cancel your subscription within 24 hours.
If you require assistance in cancellation for either method, you can also use the contact us form at the footer of the page. Please allow up to 24 hours for a response. Please provide us with your email address that you used in order to create your subscription.
Payment
What happens once I purchase a subscription?
You will
receive a confirmation email confirming your order. Don’t forget to check your
junk or spam folder. Once you log into your account, you will be a paid member.
Do you accept other payment methods other that PayPal and Stripe?
At
the moment we only accept PayPal and Stripe. It's a secure, fast and an easy way to pay.
I do not want to pay with your payment options, how can I get a subscription?
Please contact us and we will find a solution.
Login Issues
I am unable to login. How do I reset my password?
Click here (You will need to type in your email address and username) You will receive an email with
your new password. To change your assigned password, you can go into
your settings.
I am having login issues. What do I do?
Please
clear your cached browser and delete your cookies. We recommend that members
login from here: Click Here then click on the
home page. It is advised that you use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
Miscellaneous
I see a bug on the site. How do I report it?
Please send us an email with as many details possible that you can provide. If needed, we may ask you to attach screenshots.
I did not receive my confirmation email. What do I do?
You likely typed in your wrong email address or the email went into your junk mail. Please contact us and we will resolve this issue.
I see a someone who looks suspicious on the site, what do I do?
Please contact us as soon as possible.
1) Go to the member's profile
2) Go to the "Report" button and select the appropriate subject in the drop down menu
How do I ban a member from contacting me and viewing my profile?
You can go to the member's profile and click on "block member".
What are a few online dating tips?

How long will it take for Customer Support to reply back to my email?
You can
expect a reply within 24 hours or less.
Why do I not receive an email response whenever I contact you?
We always
respond to all our emails in a timely manner. If you do not receive a
reply from us, your email provider sent our email into you spam or junk mail
folder. Please be sure to check these folders whenever you are waiting for a
response from us. Another reason, may be that you typed in the wrong email
address in our contact form. Please be sure to look over your request before
you submit it to us. We can assure you that we offer the best customer support
experience possible. If you do not receive a response in 24 hours or less,
please send us another email so we can assure that your issue is dealt with.
